Turning a 350-session conference into a route
Sibos brings together thousands of financial-services professionals across a dense programme and a very large venue. POAP Studio created the Quest to turn that scale into a journey of discovery, through collectible digital tokens, NFC touchpoints and rewards.
Across two editions — Beijing 2024 and Frankfurt 2025 — I designed the collectible visual system and the physical–digital assets used to access the Quest: QR screens, intermediate screens, totems, printed materials, NFC cards and an embroidered NFC badge.
What changed between editions
Beijing, October 2024. The first edition established the visual grammar: 38+ collectibles across routes, QR screens and intermediate screens that directed participants into the Sibos app, all inside Innotribe’s established branding.
Frankfurt, September 2025. A new collectible art direction and a fourth Sponsors route. Most importantly, POAP Studio took ownership of the physical totem design after the previous edition’s totems did not meet expectations.

The cue that did not work
I flagged the risk before launch. It was kept. It caused confusion.
While reviewing the Frankfurt totem I raised a usability concern about an element that could mislead attendees about where to tap. The external creative direction chose to retain it, and during the event that element did create confusion.

Frankfurt 2025: the numbers
- 1,600+

Participation figures come from Swift’s own published recap of the Frankfurt event. Hundreds of prizes were awarded; a precise number is not public.
If your product has more rules than screens, we should talk.
